Start with a priced opinion
Saying that a player will win is not enough. Value analysis asks whether the offered odds are higher than a defensible estimate of fair odds. A strong favourite can be a poor price, while an underdog can be a good price and still lose most of the time.
Verify the inputs
Confirm player identity, event, surface, schedule and both sides of the market. Use pre-match odds that were actually available. Remove walkovers, retirements and finished matches without a valid final score from performance records.
Demand robust evidence
Tiny apparent differences are fragile. Model uncertainty, stale odds and bookmaker margin can erase them. CourtValue requires its complete proprietary assessment to qualify before labelling an Official Pick.
- Verify both sides of the market.
- Separate Official Picks from warnings.
- Track the original price and units.
Evaluate over time
Measure profit in units and ROI against units staked. Review calibration, market segments and drawdowns over many decisions. A transparent losing period can be more informative than an isolated win.
